The Slave Assassin Chapter 27

The last chapter was Chapter 26

Laun slept.  She had not been able to sleep for that long uninterrupted without the aid of drugs for months.  Perhaps years.

It was nice.

The Myrned Envoy had been questioned and some of his people taken into custody.  The Ambassador was embarrassed, for being found out by his nephew being fucked unconscious more than the reason he had brought the hidden men with him.  He was escorted off the Royal Estate, and was to be escorted off the Plateau.  Some of his people were not going with him as they were not under the protection of the Myrned delegation.  One was handed directly over to her Highness’ entourage.  For ... punishment.

Laun had made a few requests, left a few instructions, and had been led to a quiet yurlodge that had no one in it.  She kissed her Lord, was kissed by several others and waived away offers of companionship.  She wanted to be alone.

As Laun stirred, she felt at peace.  She knew that Engrid had been caught, again.  She had been able to find her, but knew that Blue Master had to be taken down by others to make it complete.  The knowledge had relaxed something in her and the tiredness had been overwhelming as the information they shared washed through her.  Having been truly exhausted by Bene, the lasting calm from the peaks she had flowed through her and had let her sleep deep and long, once she was allowed to.

There were night time noises.  The thick canvas of the Yurlodge above the dug pit floor did not let any light in, though a small night lamp had been lit and left just inside the door on the stairs for her.  She could hear the hissing of the wind through the sand, the temperature a bit chilly in the building.  It felt delicious against her skin, but she knew she wanted people around her, now.

There was a tent outside the yurlodge.  Even at that hour, food and people waited for her.  She smiled, seeing the Peaches rouse themselves under the well-lit tent, the faces of Ifahyd and Edgar close to each other and happy to see her.  Blankets and furs were opened to her, the comfort of the people as welcome as the comfort of the warmth.  Bits of food and sips of drink were offered and taken.  Then touches, light and meaningful were dared, and returned.

The sustenance of the food and drink revived Laun.  The love and lovemaking brought her further.  The peaks of ecstasy that she had, and gave to others, completed her.  The high desert dawn flowed across the Estate as those who had been waiting, and who had reveled in each other, fell back into sleep.

Laun felt, for the first time in a very long time, at peace.
