Throughout the centuries, shaving has been a way to show breeding, culture and taste as well as dominance over those lower, depending on how it is used. The modern fetishist use is primarily for self gratification.
The feeling of cleanliness is a good start when beginning a session. To shave pubic hair keeps apparel and devices from pulling the hair out. Some people go as far as to shave or use depilatory creme on all of their body. The smoothness reminds us of what we are going to do, or have done.
Rashes, ingrown hairs and other problems can occur if shaving is done incorrectly and without maintenance. A softening agent is recommended for the hair before you shave to help relax the hair and skin. If your skin seems a little bumpy, use a exfoliant creme or loofa on the skin before shaving. Especially in tender areas, shave with strokes with the hair, not against. If you are not comfortable with shaving around areas like the anus, experiment, with a friend, with depilatory cremes and hot wax preparations. Because of the nature of hot wax and shaving, do it at least a day before you are going to be playing, to let the skin get back to normal. An aloe based cream can be used to help any burning feeling in the skin. Throw away any blades, cloth, and other items that could have been contaminated with small bits of blood or other bodily excretions and do not share shavers with your partners.
